Raising Awareness in Torch Club

To continue our support for breast cancer research, the Boys & Girls Clubs of La Habra’s Torch Club will be selling the “Band of Support Pink Ribbon” bracelets for $2.00 each, starting the end of September through early October.  For every ten bracelets purchased, the Breast Cancer Site will fund 1.0 % of a mammogram.  If detected early, the five-year survival rate for breast cancer exceeds 96%. Mammograms are among the best early detection methods, yet 13 million U.S. women 40 years of age or older have never had a mammogram.

Another way we will be raising money for the Foundation is through Bake Sales which we will hold on Wednesdays at 4:45 p.m.   Our goal is to raise $500.00.  We would appreciate any help to support our cause.

Our art\crafts program enables youth to develop creatively and cultural awareness through knowledge and appreciation of visual and tactile arts and crafts, performing arts and creative writing.

Our program includes drawing, painting, and ceramics.

Come hang out with your friends at the Teen Center! Check out your favorite sports games on our large screen T.V. and Nintendo Wii, with the best games available.
